Ep 117 | How NOT to Be a Helicopter Mom
Susan Landers is no stranger to trying to develop a work-life balance. She held a full-time, demanding medical career while raising her three children and working to incorporate faith into everything she did and to help her kids grow spiritually.
Now she loves to teach younger women what to expect as they embark on both a career and motherhood. Work will challenge us as mothers or make us doubt our abilities, but we can do both!
I brought Susan on today to share what we need to know as we raise a family and keep up a career, and we’re also going to touch on some tips to overcoming being a helicopter parent. Any of you labeled as that? I’m sure my kids think I am. It’s a hard balance, isn’t it?
But, if we want to raise responsible and independent adults, we also need to learn how to hold our children loosely and not helicopter over their every move. How do we do this?
