Our children are our first mission field, and one of God’s greatest gifts to us. I bet just like me, you believe your children are one of your greatest accomplishments over any work or sports accolade.
Whether they are biological, stepchildren, foster children, nieces or nephews, it’s important for us to leave a legacy for them. What better way than to write our story so they have it as a keepsake to look back on?
My friend Rosanna doesn’t have her own children, but her nieces and nephews are just as precious, and through her time with them, she realized she wanted to teach others how to write their legacy stories for their families.
Today we’ll be talking about 3 Simple Steps you can take to writing a legacy for your children, and Rosanna will also help us get started with a 10-minute plan. Yes, even you, as a mom with a full schedule, can make time to do this!

Rosanna Giacalone has extensive management, branding, and marketing experience working with clients as diverse as Saks Fifth Avenue, Chanel, Apple LVMH, and Jennifer Lopez in her distinguished media and advertising career. Her approach is always to work as a full-service partner delivering business plans that include creative, digital, and events highlighting her client’s brand DNA.
This approach has allowed her to develop key results-driven marketing, branding, and advertising partnerships for all the companies she has worked with. In 2008, Ms. Giacalone decided to open her own business, which branded her own personal and philanthropic philosophy naming the company, “La Vita ‘E Bella, LLC” or Life Is Beautiful. The mission of the company is to help clients discover their brand purpose, mission, and values that not only create beauty in this world but elevate the world in some way.
In October of 2021, she created a second business called, “My Magnus Opus” to pursue her life-calling. “My Magnus Opus” uses her God-given gifts of love, compassionate listening, and healing to help people discover their unique greatness, make sense of their life, and memorialize their incredible life stories in a luxury keepsake book she created so they could leave it as a legacy for their children and future generations.
While she has had a storied media career, she is most proud of her beautiful family, her life friends, and her volunteer life teaching children Sunday School.
She is a dual American Italian Citizen, she loves to spend time with God, journal, sketch, dance, and entertain family and friends. You can tune into her weekly podcast, “My Magnus Opus” on iTunes which speaks to the multi-role women we all are and covers topics ranging from finding more time for yourself, dealing with a mid-life crisis, finding joy in your life, and telling your life story.
